An increasing number of youths in their 20s and 30s are returning to their rural hometowns to start businesses and help market their local agricultural specialties. On Pinduoduo, the number of “New Farmer” entrepreneurs born after 1995 has increased from 29,700 in 2019 to over 126,000 by the end of October 2021.
